I have been a makeup artist since 2004 where I finished my education. The training I had included both normal makeup, special effects and all in between. Even two days with face- and bodypaint! I found it really fun and interesting, but didn't think it was something I could make a living of. But it was a capturing media. I could change the face and use more dramatic forms and colours that with other kind of makeup. And opposite special effects, I could use my imagination more, not just mimic real life. So I started doing a bit of facepainting when I had the chance. But soon it was what I did the most.
In 2007 I was at my first convention, the UK Face & body art convention! It was a lot of fun and I was inspired to try bodypaint when I got back home. The results was nice, but took the most of the day. That did not stop me and when the Danish bodypaint competition took place a few month after, I entered and won first place.
Since then I have worked with a mix of jobs, mostly facepaiting at events, but also temporary tattoos, bodypaint and normal/not-normal makeup to commercials, print and so on.
In the future I plan on travelling more. Both at conventions, but also see the world and learn how people use body decorations there.
